St. Dominic School encourages their students to be active in the community. As part of our curriculum, students in 6th through 8th grade are required to complete volunteer service hours during the school year. Examples of students serving in the school, Parish, and community include:
- Assisting lunchroom duties in the Parish Hall
- Greeting and assisting students arriving at school
- Assisting Parish and school event setups
- Altar serving during Daily and Sunday Mass
- Cleaning our community during the annual California Coastal Cleanup
- Volunteering at soup kitchens
- Working with St. Vincent de Paul with food collection and delivery
- Crafting and delivering blankets for our local Veterans
